2007 Schedule for Alabama Contemporary Dance

 

Classes - Through June 30, 2007

 

Tues., 5:30-6:45 PM: YOGA

Tues., 6:45-8 PM: BALLROOM DANCE

Thurs., 7-8 PM: SALSA- Open Salsa Night follows at Martini's Bar, 2nd floor

Sat., 10:30-NOON: MODERN DANCE/Intermediate Level

 

All classes are $10 each on a per class basis

June 21, 2007, noon: CURTIS PIERRE OF CASA SAMBA- Brazilian Dance and Drumming, Government Plaza- free


June 21, 2007- CURTIS PIERRE MASTER CLASSES AND 'CAPTIVE PASSAGE' EXHIBIT TOUR, Museum of Mobile. $10 includes entrance to exhibit and one of the following classes: 9:30-10:30 AM- Brazilian Drumming, 2-3 PM- Capoeira, 3-4 PM Braziilian Drumming. Call 432-6706 to pre-register.


June 21, 2007- Lindy-hop Dance Legend Frankie Manning is in Mobile!!!!! FRANKIE MANNING SWINGS- presented by National Dance Education Organization(NDEO), Riverview Renaissance Hotel, Beg. Swing- 6:30-8 PM/ Inter. Swing 8-9:30 PM- $25 per person per class. Pre-registration by June 10, 2007 is highly advised. CALL NDEO 301-657-2880 for more information.


June 22, 2007, 7:30 PM- HOPE: A DANCE PROJECT, a celebration of dance featuring national, regional, and local dance artists: FRANKIE MANNING, CLAIRE PORTER, CURTIS PIERRRE, ALABAMA CONTE. DANCE, NEW ORLEANS BALLET ASSOCIATION, MOVING MIRACLES, MT. HEBRON PRAISE DANCE, AND LEFLORE'S 'MOVING IMAGES'. Presented by Alabama Contemporary Dance GEN$15/ST. $10 (+service charge)
